Miller looking forward to new start with Canucks

New Vancouver Canucks goalie Ryan Miller joined NHL Live to discuss the next chapter of his career.

Miller agreed to a three-year contract worth a reported $6 million per season on July 1.

"It felt good to be wanted," Miller said. "We sat down and had a chance to talk to them about what they saw moving forward as an organization. Obviously I liked what I heard and I like what I see in the group that they've had there, and a few of the young guys coming up, so it just all kind of fell into place where I think it's the right place to be.

"From the top down, they want a certain attitude and a certain approach."

Miller played parts of 11 seasons with the Buffalo Sabres before he was sent to the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 28. The two-time United States Olympian has won at least 30 games seven seasons with a career .915 save percentage in 559 games with the Sabres and Blues. In 53 career playoff games, Miller is 27-26 with a 2.49 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
