Texas Stars forward Travis Morin joined NHL Live to discuss his performance in the American Hockey League's Calder Cup Finals.
Morin's goal 7:20 into overtime gave the Dallas Stars' AHL affiliate a 2-1 win against the St. John's IceCaps in Game 3 on Wednesday and a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
In addition to winning a Calder Cup, Morin, 30, has his sights on getting another shot in the NHL. He leads Texas in playoff scoring (7-12-19) after earning a team-high 88 points (32 goals, 56 assists) during the regular season.
"I just try to keep improving," Morin said. "They tell me I just need to get quicker and make plays faster, and I think that's what I started to do this year. Hopefully it leads to something next year."
