LOS ANGELES -- After being suspended for the past two games, New York Rangers defenseman John Moore was back in the lineup Saturday for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center (NBC, CBC, RDS).
Los Angeles leads the best-of-7 series 1-0 after a 3-2 overtime victory on Wednesday.
Moore received a two-game suspension for a check to the head of Montreal Canadiens forward Dale Weise in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final. New York won that series in six games.
Moore is expected to play alongside Kevin Klein, his normal defense partner. Raphael Diaz was scratched.
Moore skated with Klein in practice Friday, after which Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said he wouldn't give away the lineup but added, "You watched practice, so …"
Moore has appeared in 17 games in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has one assist and is plus-4.
Goaltender Cam Talbot is out again. He hasn't practiced with the Rangers since they clinched the Eastern Conference championship last week. Vigneault has not provided an update on his injury other than to say he's day-to-day.
David Leneveu is the backup to Henrik Lundqvist again.
