LOS ANGELES -- New York Rangers backup goaltender Cam Talbot sat out practice Tuesday at Staples Center, the third straight practice he's missed, with an unspecified injury.
Forward J.T. Miller returned to practice for his first workout with the team since sustaining an upper-body injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Montreal Canadiens.
The Rangers open the Stanley Cup Final against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday at Staples Center (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, RDS).
Talbot has been the backup to Henrik Lundqvist in all 20 games in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has appeared in two games, allowing two goals on 13 shots.
David Leneveu again took Talbot's place in practice. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said Monday he wouldn't know about Talbot's availability for Game 1 against the Kings until Tuesday.
Vigneault is scheduled to address the media at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET.
Here were the lines and defense pairs the Rangers showed in practice:
Chris Kreider - Derek Stepan - Rick Nash
Carl Hagelin - Brad Richards - Martin St. Louis
Benoit Pouliot - Derick Brassard - Mats Zuccarello
Brian Boyle - Dominic Moore - Derek Dorsett
Injured: Cam Talbot (undisclosed)
Suspended: John Moore, Daniel Carcillo
