Greene in, Schultz out for Kings in Game 2

CHICAGO -- Defenseman Matt Greene will replace Jeff Schultz in the Los Angeles Kings lineup for Game 2 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Greene skated with defenseman Alec Martinez on the Kings’ third pairing during warm-ups at United Center. Veteran defenseman Willie Mitchell will move up to the second pairing with Slava Voynov for Game 2 (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TSN, RDS).

Greene replaced Mitchell in the lineup at the end of the Western Conference First Round series against the San Jose Sharks. Schultz was recalled from Manchester of the American Hockey League after defenseman Robyn Regehr was injured in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round series against the Anaheim Ducks.

Kings coach Darryl Sutter opted to play Schultz over Greene in Game 1 of the conference final, when Mitchell played for the first time since Game 6 of the first round. Greene played in all seven games against the Ducks.
