Bruins defenseman Meszaros in for Bartkowski

BOSTON – Boston Bruins defenseman Andrej Meszaros was inserted into the lineup in the place of Matt Bartkowski for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Second Round series against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

Meszaros was dressed for the first time since Game 2 of Boston’s first-round series against the Detroit Red Wings and started the game beside Johnny Boychuk.

Bartkowski played the past four games for the Bruins and was on the ice for 26:26 in Boston’s 4-3 double-overtime loss in Game 1. He was called for holding Dale Weise on a scoring chance in front of the Boston net at 4:10 of the second overtime and P.K. Subban scored the winning goal seven seconds later.
