Canadiens' Bournival replaces Moen in Game 2

BOSTON – Montreal Canadiens rookie forward Michael Bournival will get back in the lineup for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Second Round series against the Boston Bruins on Sunday, coach Michel Therrien said.

Veteran forward Travis Moen will be scratched after playing 13:07 in Montreal's 4-3 double-overtime win in Game 1, which was his first game back after missing a month with a concussion.

Therrien said the long absence coupled with the quick turnaround between games led him to put Bournival back in the lineup.

"It's based on the fact Travis did not play for one month," Therrien said. "I'm satisfied with his first game, but since we played a game that ended very late, we didn't practice [Friday] and there was no morning skate for the players who are playing in the game, it put him in a difficult position. On top of that, we were very satisfied with how Bournival played in the first round."

Bournival had one assist and averaged 9:39 of ice time in Montreal's first-round sweep of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"His speed is very important, he brings an element we are always looking for on our team," Therrien said. "But we liked the way he conducted himself in the first round, and that was important in our eyes."
