Beleskey a game-time decision for Ducks

DALLAS -- The Anaheim Ducks could get a huge boost in Game 6 of their Western Conference First Round series against the Dallas Stars on Sunday at American Airlines Center (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TSN2, RDS2, PRIME, FS-SW)

Left wing Matt Beleskey, who has been out the past four games with a lower-body injury, may return.

Beleskey had a goal and an assist in Anaheim's 4-3 victory in Game 1 at Honda Center, but hasn't played since.

However, he went through morning skate Sunday without issue and appears ready to replace Emerson Etem on Anaheim's fourth line alongside left wing Devante Smith-Pelly and center Rickard Rakell.

"Yeah, I feel pretty good," Beleskey said. "I haven't actually got the official word if I'm in or not, but we'll see what the coaches come up with."

Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau was equally non-committal about Beleskey drawing back into his lineup for Game 6.

"Well, he's anxious to go," Boudreau said. "There's no doubt about that part, but we'll check on him a little bit more to make sure. The last thing we need is somebody saying they want to go and halfway through the game, they can't go. That puts you in a little bit of a pickle, so it'll be a game-time decision."

Beleskey said that throughout the series the Ducks have been striving to find a balance between playing with the right amount of physicality while also still being able to play their brand of hockey. He also knows the bottom line in Game 6 is simple, win and put the Stars in their rearview mirror.

"Honestly the best way would be to get a win tonight and then it doesn't matter what happened in any of those games," Beleskey said. "Those are things but those are small things. Let's focus on our game plan and playing the way we need to play to win this game."
