Gustavsson in goal for Red Wings in Game 4

DETROIT -- Jonas Gustavsson is making his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut as the Detroit Red Wings starting goalie in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round series against the Boston Bruins at Joe Louis Arena on Thursday.

Jimmy Howard, who started the first three games of the best-of-7 series, did not start because he has the flu, the Red Wings announced. He is Gustavsson's backup.

The Bruins lead the series 2-1.

Gustavsson was 16-5-4 with a 2.63 goals-against average and .907 save percentage during the regular season. He is 4-4-1 with a 3.12 GAA and .893 save percentage in 11 appearances against the Bruins.
