DALLAS -- Anaheim Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne is a healthy scratch for Game 4 of their Western Conference First Round series with the Dallas Stars on Wednesday at American Airlines Center (8 p.m. ET; CNBC, TSN, RDS2, PRIME, FS-SW).
"Well, obviously we lost the last game and a lot of times the lineup is going to be different," Selanne said after the morning skate. "I didn't think that's anything new, but it is what it is."
Selanne, who is playing his final NHL season, has one assist in three games for Anaheim, which leads the best-of-7 series, 2-1. Selanne learned he would be scratched after practice Tuesday.
Forward Emerson Etem, who was recalled from Norfolk of the American Hockey League on April 21, will replace Selanne on the third line alongside right wing Patrick Maroon and center Mathieu Perreault.
Anaheim's other change will be on defense, where Mark Fistric appears to be the choice to replace Stephane Robidas, who sustained a right leg fracture in the second period of Game 3 on Monday.
"It's up to me to go out there and play my game," Fistric said. "Obviously, it's playoff hockey. We can't let distractions get into our game either. Every shift I'm going to be out there, I'm going to play the way the Anaheim Ducks want me to play, and that's smart and physical and playing fast. If I go out there and do my job, then I'm going to help the team."
Fistric returned from an extended conditioning assignment with Norfolk on Monday after sustaining a lower-body nerve injury. He last played for the Ducks on March 15.
Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau didn't elaborate to the media on any potential lineup changes.
"We'll see what we see tonight. I'm not going to talk about lineup changes this morning. Obviously, Robidas' not playing so there's one," Boudreau said.
Boudreau did offer an update on Robidas.
"[Our team doctors] said that he might not need surgery, which is great news. Other than that, it's still in the infancy stages," Boudreau said. "As of yesterday, they didn't think that he would need it. He's still got a broken leg, but it's not as bad as first thought."
Goalie Frederik Andersen will start again for Anaheim.
Dallas coach Lindy Ruff isn't changing his forward lines or defensive pairings from the Stars' 3-0 win Monday.
That means veteran left wing Erik Cole will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game.
"Right now it's about the players who are going the best. It's all about the team and not about the individuals. All of these guys are good guys. This is not about Erik Cole, this is about the team," Ruff said. "We're asking everybody to put the team first."
Goalie Kari Lehtonen will start again for Dallas.
