Devils' Salvador not in lineup against Islanders

New Jersey Devils defenseman Bryce Salvador will not play in the Saturday afternoon game against the New York Islanders at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Salvador left the game Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets early in the third period after a shot during a Columbus power play struck him in the collarbone area.

He traveled with the Devils to Long Island but did not practice Friday.

Defenseman Anton Volchenkov, a scratch against the Blue Jackets, will take Salvador's place in the lineup.

Forward Damien Brunner, who left the game Thursday after two shifts due to a charley horse, did not make the trip to Long Island. Jacob Josefson will draw into the lineup in his place.
