Patrik Elias is sitting out the Czech Republic's qualification playoff game Tuesday against Slovakia (Noon ET, NBCSN, CBC) due to an illness.
Elias also sat out the Czech's preliminary-round finale against Switzerland on Sunday.
In two games Elias has one assist, a plus-2 rating and three shots on goal while averaging 13:18 of ice time per game.
The 37-year-old forward, playing in his fourth Olympics, also is second on the New Jersey Devils in scoring this season with 33 points in 44 games.
