Flyers' Timonen out for second straight game

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will be out of the lineup again due to a lower-body injury when the Flyers play at the San Jose Sharks on Monday.

Timonen was injured blocking a shot in the third period of the Flyers' game Jan. 30 against the Anaheim Ducks. He sat out Philadelphia's game Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.

The 38-year-old has 19 points in 55 games and is second among the team's defensemen with an average ice time of 20:43 per game.

Quote of the Day

It was a big dream. [Messi] is probably the best athlete out there, so it's a big honor, for [Kuznetzov] as well. It's maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the best player in soccer right now. I'm a big Barcelona fan and Messi fan, so it's huge. You can take [Michael] Jordan, [Mark] Messier, [Wayne] Gretzky, those kinds of [people]. It's an honor to meet. It's nice to be in that position.
