Blues' Sobotka to miss Olympics with leg injury

The St. Louis Blues have placed forward Vladimir Sobotka on injured reserve with a left leg injury. Sobotka will be re-evaluated in four weeks and the injury will keep him from participating for the Czech Republic at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

The 26-year-old was injured during St. Louis' 3-1 road loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night when he collided with defenseman Justin Faulk behind the net and hit the end boards.

In 46 games this season, Sobotka has seven goals and 25 points. He leads the NHL with a 60.9 percent success rate on faceoffs.
