Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek will be in the lineup Wednesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Voracek left the Flyers' 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Islanders on Monday midway through the third period with what the team has called an upper-body injury. It was reported by multiple media outlets that the injury was to Voracek's left hand. He did not take part in the team's morning skate Tuesday, but the game scheduled for that evening was postponed until Wednesday due to a snowstorm and the extra time may have helped Voracek's chances to play.
In 50 games Voracek has 14 goals and 35 points. He hasn't missed a game since March 8-11, 2012.
Carolina's morning skate Tuesday featured an appearance by goaltender Cam Ward. He's been out since Dec. 31 with a lower-body injury. He isn't ready to play yet, but the fact that he skated is a good sign as far as his recovery is going.
