Bruins' Lucic scratched due to illness

ANAHEIM -- Boston Bruins left wing Milan Lucic was scratched for the game against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night with an illness, the Bruins announced before opening faceoff.

It is the first game that Lucic has missed this season. Boston will have 11 forwards available against the Ducks.

Lucic participated in the morning skate, but was not made available to media. He has 12 goals and 18 assists in 42 games this season and had his five-game assist and six-game point streak snapped Jan.4.

Boston is also without Loui Eriksson (concussion), Jordan Caron (back), Chris Kelly (fibula), Dennis Seidenberg (knee) and Shawn Thornton (suspended).

Anaheim placed defenseman Bryan Allen (lower body) on injured reserve.
