Kings' Brown scratched due to illness

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown was scratched from the lineup Monday night because of illness, according to the team.

Brown did not attend the morning skate and coach Darryl Sutter was not available to comment before L.A. played the Dallas Stars at Staples Center.

Brown has seven goals and six assists in 37 games this season. Trevor Lewis took his place on the second line with Jarret Stoll and Justin Williams. Daniel Carcillo was inserted into the lineup on the third line with Mike Richards and Tyler Toffoli.
