Hartman excited to wear USA jersey, again

Tuesday morning at practice, coach [Don] Lucia just wanted us to get our legs moving with a fast pace. We then did a little power play and penalty kill things.

At the end of practice, we had a little fun just skating around and chatting with each other. We have a good group of guys here; we can joke around with each other and we're becoming a tight group already so that's great to see.

I think I'm beginning to get good chemistry with my linemates the past few days [Jack Eichel and Adam Erne]. That's good considering it's our first time playing together, so I think we've been doing well. We've been with each other the last three practices and we were working the same power play unit on Tuesday, so maybe we can get even more chemistry while working that.

I'm excited to play in exhibition game [Tuesday] against Minnesota State. I haven't put a USA jersey on since Ufa, Russia [at the 2013 World Junior Championship], so that will be exciting. I'm really looking forward to that.

I'll check back later after the game.

Quote of the Day

I have been blessed to play for 16 years in the NHL; it has been an amazing ride. I would like to thank the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers organizations and owners for providing me the opportunity to play the sport I love for so many years. I could have never played for so long or accomplished all that I have without the unwavering love and support from my wife, Heather, our three sons, Ryan, Lucas, and Mason, and my parents.
