Islanders active Nabokov off injured reserve

The New York Islanders have activated goaltender Evgeni Nabokov off injured reserve.

Nabokov, who hasn't played since Nov. 16 due to a groin injury, will serve as backup to Kevin Poulin when the Islanders play at the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.

Goalie Anders Nilsson has been sent to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
