Methot a late scratch for Senators

OTTAWA -- Ottawa Senators defenseman Marc Methot was a late scratch for the game against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

Methot was replaced in the lineup by Jared Cowen, who was originally going to sit out a second straight game as a healthy scratch.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
