The Anaheim Ducks placed defenseman Luca Sbisa and goaltender Viktor Fasth on injured reserve Saturday.
Sbisa suffered a tendon tear in his right hand in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday and will have surgery Monday. Sbisa, who has one assist in nine games this season, is out 6-8 weeks.
Fasth is suffering from muscle inflammation (lower body) and is out 3-4 weeks. Fasth is 2-2-1 with a 2.95 goals-against average and .885 save percentage.
The Ducks recalled goaltender Frederik Andersen and defenseman Nolan Yonkman from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Andersen, 24, is 6-1-0 with a 1.66 GAA and .943 save percentage in seven games with Anaheim this season. He won his first six NHL games from Oct. 20-Nov. 10, marking the first time since December 1993 that a goaltender won his first six career games since Damian Rhodes accomplished the feat with the Toronto Maple Leafs from March 22, 1991-Dec. 2, 1993.
Yonkman, 32, has one goal, eight assists and 140 penalty minutes in 74 NHL games.
