Kings place Lewis on IR, activate Clifford

The Los Angeles Kings activated forward Kyle Clifford from the injured reserve list and placed forward Trevor Lewis on IR (retroactive to Nov. 21), the team announced Saturday.

Clifford, out with an upper-body injury, missed the past six Kings games. Clifford has played in 16 games this season and has one goal and 32 penalty minutes.

Lewis is out with a lower-body injury. In 23 games he has no points and four penalty minutes.

The Kings (15-6-2) host the Colorado Avalanche at Staples Center on Saturday.

Quote of the Day

It's cool when you think about how many great American players have played the game and the two players that were at that 18-game point streak and what they've done in their careers. It's pretty cool right now, but it was kind of overshadowed by the loss.
