Oilers send Arcobello to AHL, recall Klefbom

The Edmonton Oilers have assigned center Mark Arcobello to their American Hockey League affiliate and recalled defenseman Oscar Klefbom, a first-round pick (No. 19) in the 2011 NHL Draft.

General manager Craig MacTavish announced the moves Friday.

Klefbom (6-foot-3, 204 pounds) has played 12 games for the Oklahoma City Barons, with one assist and two penalty minutes.

Arcobello, 25, played in all 20 Oilers games this season after appearing in one NHL game at the end of 2012-13. He had two goals and 10 assists.

Quote of the Day

There was a lot of talk off the ice. From a player's standpoint, that's not the talk in the room. GMs make decisions, coaches make decisions, but as a team you have to come together and be ready to go, and we are.
