Selanne back in lineup for Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks had a special present waiting for them when they returned home for their first game after eight on the road.

Teemu Selanne, who sat out the final three games after losing four teeth and needing stitches to close cuts around his mouth after being hit in the face with a stick during a game in Philadelphia on Oct. 29, will be back in the lineup Wednesday against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Selanne skated Wednesday morning, took line rushes with Mathieu Perreault and Devante Smith-Pelly, and afterward told reporters he was ready to go.

"It looks like Teemu is ready to play," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau told the team's website. "The old guy heals quickly. What can I say? It's just another reason why he's been in the game so long and why he's done so well. He wants to come back and play. It looked really bad when it happened, but the stitches are out and he's looking fine right now."

Selanne has three goals and four assists in 11 games.

The Coyotes bring a five-game win streak into the game, and a regulation win would move them ahead of the Ducks and San Jose Sharks for the top spot in the Pacific Division.

Here is how the lineups could look when they take the ice at Honda Center:
