Berube juggles lines at Flyers' morning skate

VOORHEES, N.J. -- New Philadelphia Flyers coach Craig Berube began to put his imprint on the team at the morning skate Tuesday, juggling his top three lines.

Wayne Simmonds was moved to right wing on the top line, joining center Claude Giroux and left wing Scott Hartnell. Simmonds had spent the first three games on Vincent Lecavalier’s line, but Lecavalier will have Brayden Schenn at left wing and Jakub Voracek on the right.

The third line features Sean Couturier centering left Maxime Talbot and right wing Matt Read.

Berube also shuffled the defense pairs. Kimmo Timonen and Luke Schenn likely will be the top pair, with Mark Streit skating with Andrej Meszaros, and Braydon Coburn with Nicklas Grossmann.

Here is how the new-look lineup could look when the Flyers take the ice Tuesday night:

Scott Hartnell - Claude Giroux - Wayne Simmonds

Brayden Schenn - Vincent Lecavalier - Jakub Voracek

Maxime Talbot - Sean Couturier - Matt Read

Kris Newbury - Adam Hall - Zac Rinaldo

Kimmo Timonen - Luke Schenn

Braydon Coburn - Nicklas Grossmann

Andrej Meszaros - Mark Streit

Steve Mason

Ray Emery

Scratched: Jay Rosehill, Erik Gustafsson, Hal Gill

Quote of the Day

I first met him when I was 19 years old and he coached me for 13 consecutive years. I don't know how many athletes who have had that pleasure. Al Arbour was a man that left us not only feeling like champions, but left us with a lot of great memories that we can carry on through life.
