Stars send seven players to AHL

The Dallas Stars on Saturday reduced their roster by seven players, all of whom will report to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

The Stars assigned defensemen Jyrki Jokipakka, Patrik Nemeth and Jamie Oleksiak, as well as forwards Brett Ritchie, Austin Smith and Matej Stransky to Texas, They also released defenseman Maxime Fortunus from his professional tryout agreement; he will report to Texas.

The Stars' training camp roster stands at 29 players: three goaltenders, eight defensemen and 18 forwards.
