Sabres lose Armia indefinitely with broken hand

The Buffalo Sabres announced Thursday forward Joel Armia will be out indefinitely with a broken hand.

Armia, a first-round pick (No. 16) in the 2011 NHL Draft, was bidding to make the team out of training camp after coming over from Finland.

Last season, Armia posted 19 goals and 33 points in 47 games for Assat Pori and starred at the World Junior Championship with six goals and 12 points in six games.
