Oilers return Nurse to junior team

The Edmonton Oilers returned first-round draft pick Darnell Nurse to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League and sent three players to the Oklahoma City Barons, their American Hockey League affiliate.

Nurse, an 18-year-old defenseman, was the seventh player taken in the 2013 NHL Draft.

"I go back with no regrets," Nurse said after playing in the Oilers' 5-3 preseason victory against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night at Rexall Place. "This was a great learning experience for me."

The Oilers sent defenseman Taylor Fedun and forwards Tyler Pitlick and Anton Lander to Oklahoma City, where Edmonton completes its preseason schedule with a game against the Dallas Stars on Friday.
