The Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday signed 2013 first-round draft pick Shea Theodore to a three-year entry-level contract.

Theodore, taken by the Ducks with the 26th pick of the draft, has one assist and four shots on goal in three preseason games.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound defenseman had 19 goals and 31 assists in 71 games last season with his junior team, the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League. He also had five assists in seven games to help Canada win the gold medal at the 2013 IIHF World Under-18 Championship.

Once again, it shows character in this dressing room. Once again, there's no quitting in here. We all wanted this so bad and we worked so hard to get home-ice advantage and we weren't going to let this one slide.
