Ducks send 12 players to AHL

The Anaheim Ducks on Thursday assigned 12 players to the Norfolk Admirals, their American Hockey League affiliate, leaving 41 players in training camp.

The players sent to Norfolk include defensemen Kevin Gagne, Kevin O'Brien and Stefan Warg, as well as forwards Max Friburg, Antoine Laganiere, John Mitchell, Charlie Sarault, Zack Stortini, Chris Wagner and Steven Whitney.

Two other players, defenseman Teigan Zahn and forward Maxime Sauve, were released from pro tryouts and also assigned to Norfolk.

The Ducks have 21 forwards, 15 defensemen and five goaltenders remaining in camp.
