The Winnipeg Jets trimmed their training camp Monday by 10 players.
Center Zachary Bell was sent to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's Ice Caps. Nine other players were re-assigned to their junior teams.
Among those sent down were four players picked in the 2013 NHL Draft. Second-round picks Nicolas Petan (No. 43) was sent to the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League, and goalie Eric Comrie (No. 59) was returned to the Tri-City Americans of the WHL. Third-round pick James Lodge (No. 84), who still is recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in August during the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, was sent to the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League, and defenseman Jan Kostalek, a fourth-round pick (No. 114) was sent to the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Also sent out were left wing Alex Blomqvist (Lethbridge, WHL), center Lukas Sutter (Red Deer, WHL), center Mitchell Theoret (Barrie, OHL), center Ryan Olsen (Kelowna, WHL) and right wing Scott Kosmachuk (Guelph, OHL).
