Kings trim camp roster by eight

The Los Angeles Kings on Monday trimmed their training-camp roster by returning eight players to their junior-hockey teams.

Among those sent back was goaltender Patrik Bartosak, who was returned to the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. A fifth-round pick (No. 146) in the 2013 NHL Draft, Bartosak was named the best goaltender in the Canadian Hockey League last season.

Also returned to their junior teams were forwards Justin Auger (Guelph, Ontario Hockey League), Matthew Campagna (Sudbury, OHL), Dominik Kubalik (Sudbury, OHL); and defensemen Nick Ebert (Windsor, OHL), Zachary Leslie (Guelph, OHL), Kurtis MacDermid (Owen Sound, OHL) and Marcus McIvor (Brampton, OHL).
