"I feel pretty good," Bergeron said at an introductory press conference for Canada national men's team orientation camp. "I'm pretty much 95 percent to where I'd like to be. [It] took a little time to get back to feeling good and normal, but workouts, and I've been on the ice this week and it's been feeling well, so I've felt pretty good.
"I'm confident that I'll be ready for [Boston training] camp and definitely ready for October (the season opener)."
Bergeron tore rib cartilage, broke a rib on his left side, separated his right shoulder, and sustained a punctured left lung during Boston's bid for the Stanley Cup against the Chicago Blackhawks, which fell short in six games.
The injuries left him hospitalized for three days after the Final.
