USA White 2, Sweden 2 after two

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- The teams traded goals in the second period, and 40 minutes were tied 2-2.

Anton Lindholm scored Sweden's lone goal as his wrist shot from the point eluded USA White goalie Collin Olson at 13:02. Just 1:12 later, though, Andrew Copp scored to tie the game.

Olson replaced Jon Gillies in the American goal halfway through the period.

Both teams had ample opportunities on special teams, as USA White was called for two penalties, bringing them to six for the game. However, Sweden's Linus Arnesson was called for interference with 12.0 seconds left in the period, meaning USA White will start the third with the man-advantage.

Back with more after the game.

Quote of the Day

It's a little different but it feels amazing. A new chapter in my life and I'm excited. It's been amazing. Better than I expected. The weather is great, the place is just amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm glad to get the season going.
