BOSTON -- Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron did not take the morning skate Monday, but will take the pregame skate according to coach Claude Julien, who is confident Bergeron will be able to go in Game 6 against the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, RDS).

"Patrice will dress for warmup tonight and I'm feeling confident that he will play," Julien said.

Carl Soderberg skated in Bergeron's place on the second line in between Jaromir Jagr and Brad Marchand at the morning skate.

The Bruins trail the best-of-7 series, 3-2.

Bergeron left Game 5 on Saturday at United Center with an undisclosed injury and was taken to a local hospital for observation following his two shifts totaling 49 seconds in the second period.

He was released in time to fly back to Boston with the Bruins on Sunday, but Julien listed him as day-to-day.

Bergeron has four goals in the best-of-7 series. He was the runner-up to Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews in the voting for the Selke Trophy.

Quote of the Day

I came into a team that had 65 points, that was at the bottom of the basement, a team that everybody wrote off as never going to be good. My goal is to go from the very bottom to the very top.
