CHICAGO -- Los Angeles Kings center Mike Richards (concussion) made the trip here for Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, RDS), but it's likely he'll miss his fourth straight game.
"Honestly, I couldn't tell you," Kings coach Darryl Sutter said. "It is doubtful at best."
Richards hasn't played since he was hit hard behind the goal line by Chicago center Dave Bolland in Game 1. Richards skated the day in between Games 3 and 4, but Sutter said he did not do much in the way of a workout Thursday and the Kings did not skate Friday.
I mean, hockey had to change the rules because of Marty, and that's impressive. I got two Stanley Cup rings because of the guy. Look at the banners of [Scott Niedermayer, Scott Stevens and Ken Daneyko] and Marty is right up there when you think about the New Jersey Devils; he was part of the core group and he'll go down as one of the greatest goalies ever.
