OTTAWA -- The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without left wing Joe Vitale when they face the Ottawa Senators in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday night (7:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, RDS).
Vitale did not play in the first four games of Pittsburgh’s first-round victory against the New York Islanders, but coach Dan Bylsma said he has become an important member of his team who will be missed.
"His speed was really evident," Bylsma said. "In those third- and fourth-line situations he brought that speed, he brought that tenacity. He was a difference-maker."
Bylsma would not go into who was replacing Vitale in the lineup, saying "we have some options," but Tanner Glass was skating in his spot on the fourth line with Craig Adams and Tyler Kennedy during Sunday's morning skate.
Glass has not played since Vitale came in the lineup for Game 5 against the Islanders.
Here is what the Penguins lines looked like at the morning skate Sunday:
Chris Kunitz – Sidney Crosby – Pascal Dupuis
James Neal – Evgeni Malkin – Jarome Iginla
Brenden Morrow – Brandon Sutter – Matt Cooke
