Backes still on the board, not happy about it
David Backes is still on the board as of round 10. He's not pleased about it.

He realizes that perhaps fighting everyone at the All-Star Game probably didn't win him any friends for an event like this, but he's not backing down. He said whoever doesn't pick him can look forward to getting drilled on Sunday.

Of course, he might have to hit Nick Lidstrom, something Backes said he hasn't done in 5 years.
Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
