Bruins without Ference for Game 6

Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference is day-to-day and did not travel with the team for Game 6 of its Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night at Air Canada Center.

Ference played all 48 regular-season games this season for the Bruins, posting four goals and 13 points, but will miss his second game of this series. He was also out in Game 2 due to a suspension for an illegal hit to the head of Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski in the series opener.

Quote of the Day

He's, believe it or not, actually one of my favorite guys, and I've ended up trading him twice. I appreciate what he's done. He was one year away from being an unrestricted free agent, and I felt with this opportunity, that it was a chance that we were able to get somebody for him in Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening.
