Go inside the Chicago Blackhawks for 36 hours when "NHL 36: Chicago Blackhawks" premiers May 7 on NBC Sports Network, following Game 4 of the Blackhawks' Western Conference Quarterfinal against the Minnesota Wild.
The show will reair on the NHL Network at 6 p.m. ET on May 12.
Cameras followed Blackhawks players, coaches and other staff members for a 36-hour period starting April 19 and stayed with the team through 36 hours, spanning back-to-back home games against the Nashville Predators and Phoenix Coyotes.
Among the inside issues fans will see is Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville at home with his family discussing the possibility of missing his daughter’s graduation due to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the grueling schedule of an equipment manager, the players' lighter sides, and chairman of the board Rocky Wirtz's unique relationship with the fans.
"'NHL 36' is about storytelling," Bob Chesterman, NHL Vice President of Programming, said. "It is about taking fans behind the scenes, bringing them closer to the game and allowing them to witness parts of it they wouldn't have seen otherwise. The stories that unfold in front of our cameras have universal appeal."
