Wild get Pominville back at practice

The Minnesota Wild received some good news on the eve of Game 1 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal series against the Chicago Blackhawks: the return of forward Jason Pominville.

Pominville, who missed the last two regular-season games with a head injury, returned to practice Monday morning on a line with Kyle Brodziak and Pierre-Marc Bouchard. Pominville took a hit to the head from Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown on April 23 and had been sidelined since.

Wild coach Mike Yeo told The Star-Tribune that Pominville remains day-to-day.

"He looked good in practice," Yeo said. "He's a big part of our team in a lot of areas. The offensive threat that he is, smart player, plays in all situations for us, and as much as anything else, the experience that he has in the playoffs and his leadership, obviously he's a big part of our team."
