Here is the projected Saturday lineup for the Los Angeles Kings, who play host to the Edmonton Oilers at Staples Center:
Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Kyle Clifford - Mike Richards – Jeff Carter
Brad Richardson – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis
Dwight King – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan
Scratched: Alec Martinez, Tyler Toffoli
Injured: Dustin Penner (lower body), Matt Greene (back), Willie Mitchell (knee)
Notes: Quick reportedly left the ice first after practice Friday, which is an indicator he will start. Bernier has won four in a row (stretched out over 19 days) and would seem like an equally, if not better choice to put in goal, but coach Darryl Sutter stresses the need to use both because of the schedule.
Clifford continues to be a versatile wing no matter what line he’s on, and he reprised his role with Richards and Carter on Thursday. If Sutter wants more speed against Edmonton, he could reinsert Toffoli.
Regehr was as good as advertised in his Kings debut with six hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in 18:25 minutes of ice time.
