Projected lineups for Sharks, Wild

SAN JOSE -- Here's how the lineups could look Wednesday night when the San Jose Sharks face the Minnesota Wild at HP Pavilion:

Martin Havlat - Joe Thornton - Brent Burns

Patrick Marleau - Logan Couture - Tommy Wingels

TJ Galiardi - Joe Pavelski - James Sheppard

Adam Burish - Scott Gomez - Andrew Desjardins

Matt Irwin - Dan Boyle

Brad Stuart - Matt Tennyson

Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Justin Braun

Antti Niemi

Thomas Greiss

Injured: Jason Demers (undisclosed), Tim Kennedy (upper body)

Notes: Demers skated for a second straight day and is "headed in the right direction" after taking a hit to the head against the Detroit Red Wings on March 28, coach Todd McLellan said. Kennedy, who is on injured reserve, also is making good progress. "He's starting to feel pretty good," McLellan said. "I think we'll be able to activate him very quickly here and get him involved." ... The Sharks acquired defenseman Scott Hannan from the Nashville Predators and forward Raffi Torres from the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday, but neither will play against Minnesota. Hannan is recovering from a neck injury and could need another week before he's ready.

Zach Parise - Mikko Koivu - Charlie Coyle

Pierre-Marc Bouchard - Cal Clutterbuck - Devin Setoguchi

Dany Heatley - Kyle Brodziak - Torrey Mitchell

Michael Rupp - Zenon Konopka - Nate Prosser

Ryan Suter - Jonas Brodin

Brett Clark - Tom Gilbert

Clayton Stoner - Jared Spurgeon

Niklas Backstrom

Darcy Kuemper

Injured: Matt Cullen (lower body), Josh Harding (illness)

Scratched: Justin Falk

Notes: The Wild recalled goaltender Darcy Kuemper from Houston of the American Hockey League in the wake of their trade with the Buffalo Sabres for right wing Jason Pominville. Wild backup goaltender Matt Hackett and center Johan Larsson went to Buffalo as part of the deal. With Cullen injured and Pominville not available for the game, Minnesota will suit up 11 forwards. Prosser, a defenseman, will fill in on the fourth line, and Wild coach Mike Yeo said there could be a lot of mixing matching on his lines throughout the game.

Quote of the Day

[Stamkos] is a great teammate and a great leader, that's why he's got the 'C'. He brings that tremendous work ethic to the rink and he's one of the top players in the game. I know if I put the passes where they are supposed to be, there's a very good chance he's going to put it in the back of the net.
