Vanek to miss fourth straight game

Thomas Vanek told reporters he will miss his fourth straight game when his Buffalo Sabres play at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.

Vanek skated with the team Tuesday morning but said he has not recovered fully from the upper-body injury that has sidelined him since March 26.

Vanek leads the Sabres with 16 goals and 33 points this season.

Quote of the Day

He's only 17 but he can see the ice so well and he moves the puck and goes to the open ice all the time, so I just think he's a player that is ready to play in the NHL. I'm really looking forward to coaching someone like this.
