Report: Zetterberg still out, but Colaiacovo back

The Detroit Red Wings will be without Henrik Zetterberg again when they face the Colorado Avalanche on Monday (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN), but will get defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo back in the lineup, according to a report from Ansar Khan of mlive.com.

Colaiacovo, who missed the past 33 games with a sprained left shoulder, will replace rookie Brian Lashoff in the lineup and skate alongside Brendan Smith, coach Mike Babcock said.

Zetterberg missed Sunday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks with a groin issue that isn't quite better yet.

"Well, it's still day-to-day. I will say I feel a few percent better today than yesterday,'' Zetterberg told reporters. "That’s improvement. So we're still doing good treatment and hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow."

Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
