McGinn added to Flyers' top line

With Danny Briere out indefinitely with a concussion, the Philadelphia Flyers have juggled their lines again heading into their game Tuesday against the New York Rangers (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN, TSN) in hope of finding a spark to ignite their fading Stanley Cup Playoff hopes.

At the team's morning skate Tuesday, rookie Tye McGinn -- called up to replace Briere -- skated on the team's top line, along with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.

Besides Briere, defenseman Nicklas Grossmann was not on the ice Tuesday. He is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury sustained in practice last week, but is unlikely to play Tuesday. He also sat out the Flyers' game Sunday at the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Here is how the Flyers' lineup could look when they take the ice Tuesday:

Tye McGinn - Claude Giroux - Jakub Voracek

Scott Hartnell - Brayden Schenn - Wayne Simmonds

Simon Gagne - Maxime Talbot - Matt Read

Ruslan Fedotenko - Sean Couturier - Zac Rinaldo

Luke Schenn - Kimmo Timonen

Braydon Coburn - Bruno Gervais

Kurtis Foster - Andrej Meszaros

Ilya Bryzgalov

Michael Leighton

Scratched: Harry Zolnierczyk, Mike Knuble

Injured: Danny Briere (concussion), Jody Shelley (hip), Nicklas Grossmann (upper body)

Quote of the Day

What we expected is what we got. Very mature young individual that's focused. He is on the right track. He's not only a great hockey individual, but he's a good person off the ice. He seemed to take a leadership role with this group right off the hop and ran away with it, and was vocal, was respectful, was everything it takes to be a Panther. His future looks bright.
