Notes: Miikka Kiprusoff won't be with the team as his wife gave birth to a son Monday. Joey MacDonald will start and Daniel Taylor was called up from Abbortsford of the American Hockey League to back him up. The Flames already have beaten the Stars twice this season, 7-4 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Feb. 13 and 4-3 in their most recent meeting four days later. The Flames came back from a 3-1 deficit to score three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to prevail. Calgary is 0-5-1 on the road since that win and has been outscored 24-8. The Flames beat the Nashville Predators 6-3 on Friday at the Saddledome, getting a hat trick from Curtis Glencross in a win where Lee Stempniak and Matt Stajan combined for five assists.

Notes: The Stars conclude a four-game homestand Monday. The Stars are 0-2-1 through the first three games of the homestand and have been outscored 13-2 (a 4-0 loss to the Nashville Predators last Tuesday, a 2-1 shootout loss to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks on Thursday and an 8-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday). Dallas is just 2-for-16 on the power play over its last four games. Stars wing Ray Whitney has points in two of the three games he has skated in since returning last Tuesday from a 16-game absence due to a foot injury.
