NHL 13 Prediction: Devils vs. Flyers

NHL 13 Prediction: New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers, March 14 on NHL Network

New Jersey has won all of its last six games against the Flyers, including a lopsided affair earlier this week, but that won't make this game easy. The Devils are still missing veteran netminder Martin Brodeur and have struggled a bit without him. The Flyers have only have 2 points in their last 5 games, so they will be trying to do everything to get back on track. These Atlantic Division rivals don't like each other, so this could be quite the contest.

Flyers Keys to the Game

Get it Done – Philadelphia has never won against New Jersey in a shootout so they need to get this game wrapped up in regulation and avoid a three-point game.

Expose Hedberg – Johan Hedberg has played fairly well for the Devils in Marty’s absence, but the Flyers need to find a way to solve him and make this an offensive game.

Devils Keys to the Game

Defense First – With Brodeur out, it's up to the Devils to maintain strong play at both ends of the ice and help their netminder as best they can.

Stay the Course - The Devils have historically been excellent against the Flyers. They need to stick to their systems and control the pace of the game.
