Flyers send suspended Zolnierczyk to AHL

Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk, serving a four-game NHL suspension, has been sent to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.

Zolnierczyk was suspended March 3 for a charging incident during a game against the Ottawa Senators on March 2, and has served two games of the suspension. Zolnierczyk will be eligible to play in the American Hockey League.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren told the team's website, "When and whether [Zolnierczyk] is recalled [to complete the suspension] will be dictated by the 23-man roster at that time."

Zolnierczyk has one assist and 36 penalty minutes in six NHL games this season. He has 17 points and 54 penalty minutes in 46 AHL games.
