The Calgary Sun reported that Calgary Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff was the first goaltender off the ice at Wednesday's morning skate, ahead of Wednesday night's game against the visiting San Jose Sharks. Traditionally, the first goalie off the ice at a morning skate will start that night's game.
Kiprusoff has been out a month since a sprained knee. In his absence, the Flames have gone 6-5-2 with Joey MacDonald and Daniel Taylor splitting time in goal.
In seven games prior to his injury, Kiprusoff is 2-3-2 with a 3.24 goals-against average and .870 save percentage.
